Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence
Craig acts for both claimants and defendants predominantly in multi-track claims involving very serious injuries and fatal accidents.
Whilst he deals with claims involving common whiplash, orthopaedic, and scarring injuries, PTSD and other common psychological injuries, he also specialises in the more esoteric / uncommon / complicated pain disorders and injuries such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome / Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, brain damage and epilepsy resulting in high value general and special damages claims.
He has recently successfully acted for a claimant in a claim brought against one of the major airlines under the Warsaw Convention and has a plethora of experience in advising clients who wish to make / defend claims under the Package, Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.
In addition to his busy practice, Craig is presently undertaking an LLM in shipping and maritime law at one of the world’s leading Universities in that area of academic research. Consequently, he is extremely familiar with personal injury claims of a maritime and multi-jurisdictional nature and in particular claims under the Athens Convention.
Having also practised criminal law early on in his career (and being appointed to the Attorney-General’s panel), he frequently deals with Coroners’ Inquests, Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority claims, and appeals under the Police Pension Regulations 1987.
His clinical negligence practice includes acting for claimants, general practitioners and consultants. He deals with claims involving common errors in diagnosis, failures of advice and communication, errors in surgical and non-surgical treatment, as well as cases involving lack of informed consent.
Craig undertakes work conducted under conditional fee agreements in appropriate cases.
He is a member of the Personal Injury Bar Association and the Professional Negligence Bar Association.
