Rachael practises exclusively in the field of family law with a particular emphasis on cases involving financial remedies on divorce or dissolution. She also undertakes private law children cases.
In applications for financial remedies orders, Rachael is regularly instructed in complex and high net worth cases involving the structure and valuation of companies; the concealment of assets; inherited wealth; non-matrimonial property; trusts; intervening third party interests; applications for variation and enforcement. She is well versed in claims brought by cohabitees and co-owners under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and the often interrelated applications for financial provision for children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989.
In private law children matters, Rachael is experienced in applications for child arrangements orders and also advises and represents parents in relocation cases, whether inside or outside of the jurisdiction.
Rachael is a pupil supervisor and a Western Circuit advocacy trainer. She has been a guest speaker at a number of Resolution training events and regularly delivers seminars with other members of the Family Team.
Rachael lives on the outskirts of the New Forest and is married with two young children.
