Tom Horder has a predominantly Criminal and Regulatory law practice. Often instructed in the more complex and difficult cases, Tom’s growing reputation is recognised by his inclusion in both the Legal 500 and the Chambers and Partners guides to the Bar.
Tom’s Criminal practice includes fraud, serious violence, drugs and firearms offences and historic allegations of sexual abuse. He is particularly noted for his experience in prosecuting and defending regulatory offences including trading standards, health and safety, food hygiene, aviation and Housing Act offences.
Tom’s regulatory practice includes all matters of professional discipline (most notably healthcare fitness to practice hearings, Police misconduct and Sporting regulatory bodies). Tom also has experience in cases before the VAT and Duties tribunal, civil actions against the police, inquests involving deaths in police custody and licensing appeals.
